BEACH HOUSE RETREAT

This spectacular modern beach house was designed as a gathering place for a very large family who live and work internationally. They required a level of sophistication while providing a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere. Dream selected all the custom-made furniture and trim, as well as accessories for this gorgeous project. The stunning architecture is very modern and quite sculptural. This retreat beckons escape from the world.

The Results
The beautifully designed home creates the perfect backdrop for relaxation. We chose oyster white plaster walls throughout the villa. All of the floors are high polished shell color marble that are cool to the touch and easy to maintain. Large sliding glass panels open to let ocean breezes flow. Ceiling treatments are hand woven raffia set into cream color wood beams. Dark stained doors with inset raffia panels can be found throughout the home. This detail is carried out to all the cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms and closets.
Custom inset mother of pearl mosaic tile panels are set into various alcoves to draw interest. Specialty lighting enhances the architecture and beach house ambiance. We designed several seating groups in the very large living room, including an area that has a pair of game tables. Large comfortable chairs are upholstered in cream, beige, taupe, and sea glass. Cocktail tables, accent tables and consoles are in various textures of wood, stone, rattan, raffia, and ceramic. Their styles evoke subtle contemporary overtones with Asian and African influences, which are favorite family vacation spots.
The dining room is specifically designed with two large square tables that can be kept together or pulled apart, but seat a total of sixteen. Six large bedrooms are styled like distinct hotel suites with adjoining bathrooms and large furnished private balconies for dining or sun bathing. Outside, there are seating areas by the pool and a large outdoor kitchen, as well as a covered outdoor living and dining room. The fabrics chosen in bright white and vivid orange continue the fun vibe. This truly magnificent beach house is a destination that will be enjoyed for many years.
